MISSION

Orchestrate the production team to deliver projects on time, under budget, with raving fans.


GENERAL SUMMARY

Manage Production and Estimating teams pursuing the financial success of the department, ensuring efficient and timely production of services, within budget, and to CROSS quality standards. Plan, organize, and control the department's needs while overseeing the staffing requirements and streamlining processes for operational effectiveness.

As a Leadership Team member, collaboratively work to define and drive the continued growth of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES


LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR PRODUCTION STAFF

  • Minimize involvement with remodel project details; focus on delegating, organizing, and coaching
  • Enforce company policies, conduct production leadership performance reviews, recommend individual growth plans, and suggest acknowledgment or promotion for direct reports
  • Seek and support the hiring of qualified production personnel, support their onboarding, and when needed, dismiss production personnel
  • Review continuing education quarterly and propose appropriate training for production leadership to maintain certifications and continue improving

GUIDE, MONITOR, AND ENSURE CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Resolve interpersonal and project-based disputes, managing expectations to drive client satisfaction
  • Conduct project review meetings, documenting lessons learned, and ensuring processes and policies are revised when appropriate
  • Ensure warranty items are attended to in a timely manner

OVERSEE AND IMPROVE PRODUCTION PROCESSES

  • Supervise master production schedule, monitoring cycle time to ensure productivity, accountability, and efficiency of production staff across all production verticals
  • Achieve the goals for the production department, established by the Leadership Team, in terms of gross profit, schedule performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Focus on optimizing the production process, costs, and labor, continually researching new products and techniques
  • Analyze estimated-to-budgeted numbers and understand why differences happen

CULTIVATE VENDOR AND TRADE PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS

  • Oversee production team selection of Trade Partners, including vetting and quality assessments, as well as negotiating the best pricing for labor and materials
  • Manage relationships with Trade Partners, ensuring they are mutually beneficial and successful

STANDARDS


POSITION SPECIFIC

  1. Maintain client satisfaction at 95% or greater each quarter
  2. Track and reduce Redo hours to less than 5% of billable Production hours per month
  3. Define and track accurate project duration to ensure 95% of projects are completed within 2 days of the estimated completion date, accurately accounting for delays as needed
